Today: Historical and Aspirational
Preface: It's amazing how the Important Things end up taking so little time, and the Awful Ones, so much. And the Internet takes all the rest.
HISTORICAL:
9am: Met at temporary Obama HQ (i.e., Starbucks). Passed out leaflets by supermarket.
10:40am: Got muffin and espresso, then went to church (liking church #1 more and more!).
12:30pm: Returned to supermarket/corner to pass out more flyers. Ran into my swim class friend!
2pm: Left off for the day. Went to Banana Republic to get element of secret surprise for Nana's birthday.
2:30pm: Wasted time on Internet. Much interesting stuff, especially Barks for Barack, CA Dem delegate distribution (S.J. has even number of delegates (4), so it's almost guaranteed to be 2 Clinton, 2 Obama), landlord issues, commuting--makes the ferry and Roosevelt Island tram sound v. interesting!...
6:15 pm: Wrangled laundry. Was going to *gasp* drop it off around the corner, but they were just closing when I got it down there. I went to my normal laundromat instead, though they have slightly higher prices than the other place for drop-off. I was *not* going to lug 22 pounds of dirty laundry back up to the 5th floor.
6:35 pm: Went to corner store to buy mostly healthy things.
6:45 pm: Started assembling food. Hoped that steaming an artichoke on top of boiling ravioli, in a poor steamer with an ersatz lid does not go horribly wrong. ... Discovered that a boil-over encrusted the artichoke, pans, and lid with butternut bits, but no disaster. Began to eat and read Economist.
8:30 pm: Washed up, cleaned fridge slightly, and took out trash. Disgruntled on how long dinner takes.
8:55 pm: Errr, Internet again.
ASPIRATIONAL:
9:30 pm: Work online for my neglected case.
10:30 pm: Online phonebank to California for half an hour, safely post-Super Bowl.
11 pm: Sleeeeeeeeeep.
[Update: still up at 11:45 and did not fulfill aspirational timeline... but I did figure out how to put music on my phone, as my pseudiPod. *Squee!*]
